Valentines day with friends/ 'friend appreciation day'

Valentines day is often the dreaded holiday for many. You celebrate Valentines day as 'Friend appreciation day' or you can celebrate on your own.


1.Make cakepops! Sur la Table,Party city have $20 kits

2. Make goodie bags! Beauty items,a cheap accessory a friend always wanted, or even drug store items such as lipstick or eyeshadows make cute little gifts.

3.Make a card with something meaningful written inside, whether that be a memory, or an inside joke.

4.Watch movies or play video games and make dinner together.

5.Have an awards night.The categories can include funniest,kindest,most blunt,clumsiest,most over dramatic etc.

Favorite: Top Coats for Nails

I just wanted to share some favorite top coats. Before we get into the review, here are some tips:

If your nails are constantly submerged in water activities your nails WILL chip faster.
I don't think there is a magic product out there that can stop chipping, you can only minimize it
It is recommend to touch up your nails for a longer lasting nail design.

Brucci Acrylic Top Coat

Price range: $3-$7 

( go to the beauty supply store for the cheapest price)

My co-worker actually recommended this top coat to me.It is perfectly safe to use on your own nails even though it says 'acrylic'.Although the bottle is purplish, it does dry clear. If you are doing a nice nail design I would not use this product. It will melt the layers of nail polish that was on before the top coat was applied.This is how this top coat minimizes chipping.

Deborah Lippman: 

On a clear day, or Quick drying top coat

Price:$20

Deborah Lippman is very popular alongside celebrity clients. She has very catchy nail polish bottle names which are usually song names. This top coat will not ruin your design.

Another top coat that I have heard/read that is really good is the Opi top coat.
In sum, you can use cheap nail polish,but if you use a cheap top coat your design will not last more than 2-3 days.

Something Blue!

Late for class!

First day of class, I have an 8:40 class ( not by choice of course). It was just one of those mornings  when I rushed to class and just made it by 1 minute to class on time and I quickly slapped something together. Great outfits for me do tend to occur when I am pressured for time,otherwise it would take me an hour to find a decent outfit because I am constantly thinking "nah, not really liking this outfit". This outfit is perfect for a long day in school as I am in school for literally 12 hours. Stay comfy, stay fashionable!

A tad of rogue

I read an article once that stated  that men are more attracted to a woman wearing red, while women are attracted to men wearing more of a burgundy color.  I wish I could remember the name of the article,but you can always do a google search  about these studies.Firstly, I really LOVE this dress! Its not too form fitting. The  addition of a moto jacket  and bag creates a rocker feel. This outfit is the perfect combination of sophisticated rocker chic- a perfect outfit or a date,event, or girls night out!
