A Girls Night!

I've been back home and away from my dorm for the past 2 days now. And to be truthful it feels weird. But thats besides the point, yesterday my friends mika and janine and i went to this restaraunt called Raku Tonkatsu + Ramen located in Duluth GA, by super H mart.  It's the second time we've been there and every time its super fun. It's a Japanese ramen shop run by Koreans. And they play K-pop videos all the time. Love it.
The food was super yummy. The waitstaff are always pleasant and bubbly... and the ambiance is so zen.

Picture Time! I'm sorry to put you through this but it was sooo delicious! Try not to drool too much.
I love dumplings. These were divine! If you find yourself at Raku, order these!
 Jay9 ordered the Calamari. Yummers!
My tonketsu Ramen. Udon noodles, beef cutlets, beansprouts, and that egg that i don't like.
Mika ordered the tempura tonketsu which is breaded pork cutlet. So Good!

Presh's Reading List

So for those of you that don't know me... I read a lot. I mean I sincerely love reading. Sometimes I end up reading more than studying and that...is not a good thing. But ever since I was little books  have just been one of those things that make me genuinely happy.

So my lovely brother gave me a gift card to Barnes & Nobles and I carefully picked out four books that I'll review.(There wont be any spoilers I promise... just brief synopsis's of each book...what I felt, what I thought...) There will be one review every month that way you can look up the book, buy it or borrow it from the library and read it with me.

So here are the 4 books in the order I'll be reading them:
-------------------------------------------------------------
April: Girl In translation By Jean Kwok

Synopsis:

When Kimberly Chang and her mother emigrate from Hong Kong to Brooklyn squalor, she quickly begins a secret double life: exceptional schoolgirl during the day, Chinatown sweatshop worker in the evenings. Disguising the more difficult truths of her life-like the staggering degree of her poverty, the weight of her family's future resting on her shoulders, or her secret love for a factory boy who shares none of her talent or ambition-Kimberly learns to constantly translate not just her language but herself back and forth between the worlds she straddles.
-------------------------------------------------------------
May: Thirteen Reasons Why By Jay Asher

Synopsis:

Clay Jensen returns home from school to find a mysterious box with his name on it lying on his porch. Inside he discovers cassette tapes recorded by Hannah Baker–his classmate and crush–who committed suicide two weeks earlier.
On tape, Hannah explains that there are thirteen reasons why she decided to end her life. Clay is one of them. If he listens, he'll find out how he made the list.

-------------------------------------------------------------
June: My name Is Memory By Ann Brashares
Synopsis:

Daniel has spent centuries falling in love with the same girl. Life after life, crossing continents and dynasties, he and Sophia (despite her changing name and form) have been drawn together-and he remembers it all. For all the times that he and Sophia have been connected throughout history, they have also been torn painfully, fatally, apart.
But just when Sophia (now "Lucy" in the present) finally awakens to the secret of their shared past, the mysterious force that has always separated them reappears. Ultimately, they must come to understand what stands in the way of their love if they are ever to spend a lifetime together.
-------------------------------------------------------------
July: Delirium By Lauren Oliver

 Summary:

There was a time when love was the most important thing in the world. People would go to the end of the earth to find it. They would tell lies for it. Even kill for it. Then, at last, they found the cure. Now, everything is different. Scientists are able to eradicate love, and the government demands that all citizens receive the cure upon turning eighteen. Lena Haloway has always looked forward to the day when she'll be cured. A life without love is a life without pain: safe, measured, predictable, and happy. But then, with only ninety-five days left until her treatment, Lena does the unthinkable.

Whha Watch!

Yes, so Presh ignited a new addiction in me- Ebay! Hello!  I won my first auction 4 minutes before it ended. Too bad for that bidder that really thought they were going to win it. It was a watch from China. I paid $2.88 with free shipping of course. One negative  thing about getting items from China is that it takes FOREVER to get into the states. By the time I receive the package, I forgot I even ordered it! When I finally receive my order, it kind of feels like a 'just because' gift ( except its  from myself). Anyways I digress, I really love the color, and the simplicity. It turns out the bronze color-shade  goes well with my skin tone.  My watch also came with an extra battery. I love that! For some reason my watches always end up freezing on me ,no matter how  expensive.Maybe, I'll tell my watch mishaps in another blog post if you want to read about it. In case you are wondering the seller's ebay name is digitalzone2010 .

5 minute outfit.

-------------------------------------------------------------
I had a few errands to run today and so this outfit is what i threw together in just about 5 minutes. The thing about this outfit is...Its super light and super breezy. It was like 90 degrees outside and my roommate and i decided out of the blue to go into a store and buy super soakers. We ran around like chickens with our heads cut off and i was dry like 5 minutes after all the madness.

Moving on...About the outfit:

The shirt was bought from jcpennys for less than $2. The shirt is just a plain navy tee, but its too short to wear with just jeans or anything so when i saw the skirt on sale from old navy for $13 i bought it on the double even though its a large and you and i know damn well i aint no large... well it fit just fine!

My smexy locket looking necklace ($3), the skull and crowns scarf ($1), and my pearl ring($3) were all bought on ebay while the head band was from the dollar store. Shoes are from payless($16), and the bag was a gift from my mother. (Yay Free Stuff!).

I seriously love this two finger ring i found on ebay! So cute!

And as usual
Until next time,

DIY: The Rope Scarf

Presh and I were inspired by MsVcharles(one of our favorite youtubers)  to make a  rope scarf! You can check out the tutorial  at the link below. It was really easy and cheap! I spent a total of 4 bucks! All you need is a crochet needle, and three spools of  yarn. I found these materials at the local 99 cent store, since we don't have a Walmart, Joann, or Michaels like Presh does where she lives. It took me about an hour and a half to complete. This is a great project to do when you are bored on the train, taking a study break, and great gifts! I hope you will be inspired to create this too!  I am looking forward to  making more of these, and most of all  looking soo cool with my new scarf! If you make one of these scarf's definitely post on an image on this blog or on Ms V.'s youtube channel!

Minty Tingly Fresh Faced

I love facial Masks… So last week when I went in and saw it at Family Dollar for 2.25 I had to have it. I also picked up Ponds Dry Skin Cream, because in the winter my skin gets SO DRY.

Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque $2.25

Ponds Dry Skin Cream $4.00
I’ve always wanted to get this because I remember when I was little It always made my face tingle. To me it feels amazing, but I assure you this may be too much for those of you with sensitive skin. Its was definitely a chillingly fresh feeling.
It's seriously tingly!
After having it on for 15 minutes I looked like a weird crossbreed between a zombie and a dragon. Taking it off was a bit of a toughie... it doesn’t come off with just water, you have to use a washcloth and really get in there to get it all off.

Blurry close up of the dragon scales...
Like I stated earlier it drys out your skin and that’s why I about the ponds dry skin cream. Let me tell you… A little goes a LONG Way. I used too much....which made my skin feel oily afterward. Big mistake.  I ended up using a cloth to remove the excess and all was well.
I give the Mint Julep Masque a

Polka dots!

Polka dots and maxi skirts have been such a great trend. I love the combination of both.I paired this maxi skirt with a loose, pussy bow shirt, brighter shade of blue blazer and wedges. This outfit is perfect for school,a date, or dinner with friends. I hope you love it as much as I do!
